As part of its ongoing commitment to holistic growth, the Skill Development Project of Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre (KMWSC) organised a counselling session on 18th June 2025 for the enrolled trainees. The session was conducted by professional counsellors and focused on the transformative tools of visualization and affirmations, equipping participants with simple yet powerful techniques for personal growth and emotional well-being.

A total of 35 trainees took part in the session, which emphasised the importance of envisioning positive outcomes, setting goals with clarity, and reinforcing self-belief through daily affirmations. Through guided exercises and interactive discussions, participants explored how these practices can enhance self-confidence, reduce stress, and maintain motivation — especially while navigating challenges in their training and future employment.

This session is part of KMWSC’s broader vision of integrating life skills and mental well-being into vocational training, helping young individuals not just acquire skills for employment but also develop the resilience and mind-set to lead purposeful lives.

The positive energy and engagement among participants reflected the impact of the session, with many expressing a renewed sense of clarity, hope, and self-worth.
