The Brickfields School project team was elated to host esteemed guests, Mr. James Razario, Special Investigator of the US Consulate General in Kolkata, and Ms. Erin Fischer, Overseas Criminal Investigator from the US Consulate General in Hyderabad, on March 14, 2024. Their visit to Brickfield Schools in Budge Budge and Akra was a heart-warming affair, filled with enriching exchanges and genuine connections. Upon arrival, Mr. Razario and Ms. Fischer were warmly welcomed by the children and teachers, setting the tone for an unforgettable day. They immersed themselves in meaningful interactions with students, parents, and educators, gaining valuable insights into the daily struggles and triumphs of the community. The visit extended beyond the schools as the officers engaged with Mr. Ashok Kumar Nandi, overseeing education affairs at the Block Development Office in Budge Budge. This collaboration exemplifies our ongoing advocacy efforts with local government departments, aiming to uplift and empower every child. As a token of appreciation, Officer Erin Fischer presented a heartfelt memento to Mr. Nandi, symbolising the bond forged through shared dedication to education and community development. For all involved – children, parents, teachers, and consulate officers – the experience was nothing short of joyful and memorable. It underscores the power of partnership in creating positive change and fostering a brighter future for all. Together, we continue to build bridges of opportunity and hope, one meaningful interaction at a time.
