Welcome to the Sohochori project, a beacon of hope in the heart of Kolkata’s red-light districts. Our mission is to empower and uplift the adolescent group from the narrow lanes of Sonagachi and the Matia red-light area near the Indo-Bangladesh border.

At Sohochori, we believe in creating safe spaces where the children of sex workers can thrive, learn, and dream of a brighter future. Our objective is clear: to equip these young individuals with the knowledge of human and child rights, ensuring they understand their entitlement to a dignified life.

Through a series of meticulously crafted project support activities, we strive to instil in them the confidence to make informed decisions and pursue education as a pathway to success.
