At KMWSC, we recently had the honour of welcoming a distinguished guest, Ms. Jimena Francos, and a group of passionate volunteers from Manos Unidas, Spain, to our office on the 14th of October 2023. This visit was not just a meeting; it was a heart-warming exchange of ideas, a celebration of collaboration, and a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to making the world a better place.
During their visit, we had the privilege of providing a comprehensive presentation about our various projects and activities. It was a moment to showcase the dedication and hard work that goes into each of our initiatives. We highlighted our efforts in the field, our successes, and the challenges we face, all with the aim of making the lives of the underprivileged better.
However, the visit didn’t stop at our office doors. We were deeply touched by the commitment of Ms. Jimena Francos and the Manos Unidas volunteers, who took time out of their busy schedules to visit our project centres in Kolkata. They had a first-hand look at our work, met with the children and their parents, and interacted with our project staff. This immersion allowed them to truly understand our system of functioning and witness the positive impact of our projects.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Manos Unidas for their unwavering support, particularly towards our project “I.D.E.N.T.I.T.Y.” This project is close to our hearts as it aims to provide education to children living in the slums and empower their parents. The support from Manos Unidas has been instrumental in transforming the lives of these underprivileged children, giving them access to education and a chance at a brighter future.
The visit from Manos Unidas served as a powerful reminder of the impact that collaboration and solidarity can have. We are grateful for the shared vision and dedication of our partners from Spain. Their visit was not just a meeting; it was a testament to the unity of purpose that drives us forward.
