Lets make the world a safer place for children at risk

KMWSC under “Sensitization on Anti-Human Trafficking Project” conducted a one day Block level Convergence meeting at Canning 1 Block. Stake-holders like NGOs, Police, Panchayat, CBOs were present in this meeting.

The consultation aimed to sensitize the officials on Child Rights & Child protection.The consultation, was attended by representatives of various government departments,child right activists,NGO workers,and was attended by Gram Panchayat Pradhans, ICDS members, AWW members, ASHA workers.

The one day consultation continued with an open discussion and recommendation. The discussion took places on various issues related to inclusive Education policy, Children Development and well being such as exploitation, trafficking, violation of rights, abduction, Child Labour, Child Abuse, Child marriages and other varied social issues.The focus of the meeting was to discuss on the Child Protection Mechanism.

During the meeting it was decided that KMWSC will be an eligible member of Block Level Child Protection Committee of Canning 1 Block along with other 3 civil society organizations working on Child Protection issues.We are very proud to say that they asked us to apply for the membership.

The convergence ended with the happy note of successful networking and collaboration.
