Director Visits to MACs

Undertaking Field Monitoring visits at the Director’s level is a common practise at KMWSC. In keeping with this practice, our Director, Sr. Monica Suchiang visited 4 Multi Activity Centres (MAC) in Kolkata situated at Murarupikur, Chingrighata, Dhapa & Park Circus. At each centre, Sr. Monica interacted with the children to have an understanding of their level of learning. She also interacted with some of the mothers of children enrolled at the MACs. The mothers profusely thanked Sr. Monica for her endeavours in arranging education for the children. At each centre, Sr. Monica checked the lesson plan of the teacher and the progress made thereon. Sr. Monica also distributed school bags among the children registered at the MACs. Each school bag contained exercise books, pencils, pencil sharpener, erasers, ruler and colour crayons. At Muraripukir, 60 children were given school bags and at Chingrighata 66 children received them. At Dhapa and Park Circus, the number was 50 and 55 children respectively. Once again the children seemed to be enthusiastic and happy to come back again for school life after long shut down of school due to pandemic. But the children seems to be happy to start new learning in the four corners of schools.
