Standing Together with Children for Christmas
With Christmas just around the corner and of festivity all rounds, KMWSC organised a Christmas day celebration for its children and it was celebrated with much pom.
The programme aimed to promote the culture of giving and sharing among the children and and inspiring them to act and make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged children.
The event was organized in way as to spread the spirit of oneness. 30 children gathered at Sonagachi Centre to celebrate Christmas Day.
The children had prepared various figurine cut outs with great enthusiasm during their painting workshops. It was the day when they displayed their handmade outfits which were Christmas tree, bell, fairy, star, flower etc. They dressed themselves beautifully in the cut-outs and proudly declared what they had decorated themselves into. The children also joined in a short prayer in which they prayed for each other’s well being.
They sang Christmas carols and wished each other merry Christmas and happy new year. Each child was also gifted with a animal face cap which they liked very much and wore throughout the programme. At the end of the programme all the children were given Christmas cakes
