Puppet show and street theater on women’s Day Celebration

Kolkata Mary Ward Social Center conducted puppet show and street theater on the occasion of Women’s Day Celebration under Empowering Vulnerable Children Project and Red light Area Project.

Street Theater was conducted at: Rajaban, Chinikuthi, Dunlop and Talah. A drama group was hired to organize the event.

Puppet show: A resource person was hired to organize the event at Sonagachi, Muraripukur and Cossipore on 9th March 2018.

The objective of both the events were to sensitize and make awareness about the importance of women and their rights. Approx 500 people were sensitized about the importance of women’s day, their rights and equal contributions to the families and society.
