KMWSC thanks 5 volunteers from Cognizant who visited Muraripukur multipurpose center under Empowering Vulnerable Children Project (ward - 32) of Kolkata Municipal Corporation to teach academics and other co-curricular activities to the children of slums on 28th April 2018. This exposure created a platform for sharing ideas and imparting knowledge to the deprived children in joyful and creative methodology. Indeed the children benefitted from the volunteers. The volunteers used the play way methods with lots of games. There were 25 children in the MAC. The volunteers also taught them the importance of hand wash, personal hygiene, ill effects of ODF, using clean toilets etc. They conducted some games to make the environment interesting and keep the children busy in playing games. At the end role play was performed on good habits and the children were asked to rectify the truth and tell whether it was good habits or bad habits.
