Let freedom never perish in our hands-Happy Independence Day celebrations at KMWSC

Every year,August 15 is celebrated as the Independence Day in India.This national festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country.The Independence Day of any country is a moment of pride and glory.On this special occasion rich tributes were paid to the freedom fighters of India by Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre Team who sacrificed their lives and fought to free their motherland from the clutches of the oppressors-British who ruled the country.

KMWSC celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration started off with decoration of the centres in hues of Tricolor,followed by flag hoisting and cultural programmes.

At the onset of the programme Director of KMWSC addressed the entire team of KMWSC followed by hoisting of the national flag.Director of KMWSC threw light over the sacrifices made by freedom fighters Later KMWSC Team presented a patriotic song in their melodious voice.The Trainees of the Skill Development programme presented a colorful dance on a patriotic song.Dance enlightened the audience on the importance of Independence Day celebrations.The dancers from skill development programme  showcased a vibrant culture programme.

At the end of the programme light snacks were served to all the participants.Overall,Indian Independence Day is certainly a festival much anticipated by the KMWSC Team each and every year.
