As an official visit by Superior Mother General and her team to South Asia Province, Sr. Judith visited KMWSC on 9th October 2018. She was welcomed in an Indian Traditional manner with garland, Arati, tikka and blowing of the conch shell by the entire KMWSC team along with the beneficiaries from Skill Development and red light area project. The children from red light area performed welcome dance. It was a wonderful experience to have Sr. Judith from Superior General Team with us. She was given an over view of all the projects’ activities through PowerPoint presentation by all the respective coordinators. The documentary movie of Brick Field School Project was shown to Sr. Judith to get an understanding of the BFS project.
GC calls were emphasized before the presentation of the projects that KMWSC has been implementing it through different projects in West Bengal and in neighboring state of Bihar.
Sr. Judith shared her thoughts and experience with KMWSC team. She thanked the entire team for the warm welcome and the marvelous work in reaching out to marginalized, underprivileged, deprived and migrant communities at grass root.
Soon after the presentation Sr. Judith was accompanied by the director and Coordinator to field visit of Anti- Human Trafficking project at Canning 1 Block, South 24 Parganas. She visited one village and interacted with the members of Adolescent Girls Group and community members. She also interacted with the trainees of Vocational Skill Development of Women and Adolescent Girls, Trafficking Survivor and Prone to trafficking victims at Canning.
