HEALTH CAMP WITH A DIFFERENCE

The situation calls for timely care and diagnosis which can reduce the incidence of morbidity and mortality especially among children and women.

KMWSC recently had organized Health Campswhich is one big special initiative to provide healthcare services to meet the immediate health care needs of the marginalized community children living in slums through  camps.

The uniqueness of the camp lies in its comprehensive approach where health promotion and prevention are given equal importance while curative care is administered.

100 of our project children with their smiling faces had gathered in our office to make a grand success of the Health Camp organized with support of Cognizant.

They were thoroughly checked by Ophthalmologists, Dentists and General Physicians over three hours. They were prescribed medicines. Their were too happy to receive a toothpaste also!!! They were treated to yummy pizza and chowmein, all prepared at our own bakery.

Speaking on this occasion the doctors advised all students to look for personal hygiene and care, both for themselves and their family members.They also educated the children on ways and benefits of cleanliness around their houses and localities.

We sincerely thank Cognizant and the team of dedicated doctors for lending their support and extending their hands to reach out to those who needed their touch and support.

KMWSC aims to hold more and more health camps in future, empowering the community children to access basic medical facilities from government civic amenities and medical schemes for the poor.
